ABOUT THE COMICS

Mylo Xyloto Comics is a unique storytelling collaboration between Mark Osborne and the band Coldplay. The six-part comic book saga was created to explore and establish the story and universe that went on to inspire the band's 5th studio album of the same name. Artwork for the comics was created by Alex Fuentes, with color by award winning colorist Steve Hamaker. Additional cover art and inspiration art by Vladimir Shelest. The entire comic series was published by BONGO COMICS and was available in comic book stores in the U.S.

Currently, hard copies of the comics can be found on eBay and Amazon through re-sellers, with digital versions of the comics available for purchase through iTunes stores worldwide.

Coldplay Announce Six-Part 'Mylo Xyloto' Comic Series

"To mark the release of the first issue, Osborne and the production team behind the comic will appear at a Comic-Con panel on July 13th to discuss the project. Following the first issue's release, the following five parts will be published monthly beginning February 2013.

The six part comic book series was lauched with a prequel story by way of this music video for Coldplay's 'Hurts Like Heaven' song from the album 'MYLO XYLOTO', The video was directed by Mark Osborne, Designed by Alex Fuentes, Color by Steve Hamaker, Production by FORTICHE, Passion Pictures and Independent Films UK for Parlophone.

In addition to issues 1-6 that told the story of Mylo Xyloto, a virtual "ISSUE ZERO" was created as a pre-quel to the series, and as a launch for the song HURTS LIKE HEAVEN. The comic book illustrations give way to a virtual tour inside the story and images of a non-exsistant issue of the comic, giving insight and crucial back story for the series' titular character...
